In partnership with our beloved Clinton Hill Library, Camp Fort Greene has consistently provided opportunities for campers to develop and grow a love of books.
Campers enjoy weekly Library Time with Tracey Mantrone, Neighborhood Library Supervisor, who carefully curates age-appropriate books directly related to our weekly curricular themes. Ms. Tracey reads to our younger campers, and these books are left for them to enjoy on their own and with peers and counselors throughout the summer.
Middle Camp STEAMers also benefit from our partnership with the Clinton Hill Library, as Young Adult Librarian Eric Horowitz pops in each week with titles related to STEAM that he leaves for older campers to enjoy on their own. While STEAMers do not have read aloud story time, they can request additional nonfiction and fiction titles to enjoy at their leisure when they are in camp.
