Camp Fort Greene is a place for kids to learn about the world around them through play, community, and summer fun!
After a day of active indoor and outdoor explorations, our campers positively glow with excitement and the joy of making fresh discoveries. Young people learn so much about science, art, and music in our program – but, mostly, they learn about themselves. Camp Fort Greene is committed to giving each child a hands-in-the-soil, play-based summer. Here at Camp Fort Greene, our campers go home sweaty, dirty, and radiantly happy.

2024 CURRICULUM
Olympic Gold!
The Olympics are back, and we’re excited to celebrate the XXXIII Olympiad by going for the gold in summer fun! Campers will design a sustainable Olympic Village, construct their own sports arenas, and come up with the wackiest games of their own – from zany marble runs to straw-sized javelin throws. What exactly happens when we pump our muscles and run at top-speed till our hearts beat super-fast? We’ll answer those questions and more. Campers will also explore the City of Lights in celebration of Paris 2024. Du plaisir aux Jeux olympiques d’été ? Oui oui!
PAST CURRICULUM
SUMMER 2023 CURRICULUM - Into the Deep!
From starfish and seahorses to fantasy mermaids and ancient megalodons, Camp Fort Greene is going to feel like an open-air aquarium this summer. We’re diving deep to explore local waterways, erosion, and ways to protect our coastlines. We’ll remain underwater even when things get explosive and we learn about volcanoes that erupt in the sea. Boom! That’s a bubbly good time.
SUMMER 2022 CURRICULUM - Ecological Energies!
Time to unleash all our kid energy on a dynamic planet – one that young people ardently impact in powerfully positive ways. We’ve all heard of Greta Thunberg – but do you know the names Aniya Butler, Jessica Jane Robinson, and Leah Thomas? All three are saving the earth by working right here in the United States. Inspired by these and other super young change-makers, we will get our hands in the soil, gather the water, and think about the air all around as we innovate our own ways to better understand and save this glorious planet.
