How did people find and cook food long ago? Campers will trace the roots of some of their favorite foods and learn about early cooking methods.
WEEK 2 : TOOL SCHOOL
July 16 - July 20
What are the major inventions that have shaped our world, our country and our city? How have tools changed human life?
WEEK 3 : FLY AWAY
July 23 - July 27
Humans can’t fly! Or can we? Campers will explore the themes of thrust, lift, and height and early attempts at human flight through the ages.
WEEK 4 : ANCIENT ART MAKING
July 30 - August 3
Campers will explore the rich history of human creativity and produce their own art using found materials provided by nature.
WEEK 5 : EARLY ENGINEERS
August 6 - August 10
It’s electric! During this exciting week we will explore themes of power, electricity and circuitry through the ages.
WEEK 6 : MAN VS. MACHINE
August 13 - August 17
How have machines changed our world? What machines have made the biggest impact on our lives today?
