Founded by Educator and Author, Eisa Ulen Richardson, Camp Fort Greene was a passion project from the very beginning.

Eisa saw a need in her Brooklyn neighborhood for a high quality, low-cost summer camp.  So, she shared her dream with two other local women who could help bring her vision to reality. Chloe Taylor and Andriana Spence formed a partnership with Eisa in early 2013, and that summer they brought Camp Fort Greene to their community.  Now in its seventh consecutive year in business, Camp Fort Greene has grown to include more than 200 families each season. As the camp continues to grow, it will remain true to its main goal, which is to provide a lower-cost option for families, without sacrificing quality. We employ educators, many with master’s degrees, as well as coaches and artists with extensive experience working with children. Each summer is filled with art, music, walking field trips, field games, and a dynamic curriculum to fuel the growth of sturdier, healthier children.

In 2016, Greeneprints Inc., a 501c3 not-for-profit organization was formed to support the Camp Fort Greene programs. Learn more about Greeneprints here.
