Parents searching for a cost-effective local Summer Day Camp need to look no further than Camp Fort Greene! Brooklyn mother Eisa Ulen Richardson searched just for this for her son and ended up organizing Camp Fort Greene with the partnership of children’s shop owner, Andriana Spence of Hank & JoJo and Chloe Taylor, Head Teacher at Packer Collegiate Institute. Now in its second season, Camp Fort Greene is offering weekly registration from July 7th through August 22nd.

During the 2014 summer weekly sessions Camp Fort Greene will focus on the theme of Five Senses. Sensory explorations take place on a daily basis and coincide with art and music sessions, to complement park excursions, and to enhance gardening and library experiences. Camp Fort Greene emphasizes Science, Exploration and Art while honoring the hazy, lazy, dreamlike qualities of July and August. Campers enjoy daily activities including Musical Theater, Sports and Gardening and also get to meet business owners and other important members of the Fort Greene community, to better understand and appreciate what each person contributes to the world around them.

There is no minimum registration requirement, so you can register for 1 week or all 7! Campers must be between the ages of 4 and 6 years old to attend camp. Camp is from 9am 3pm with an option for after care from 3pm 5pm. The camp will be located at 85 South Oxford Street, Brooklyn NY. For registration information, please visit www.campfortgreene.com.
